Farmers RECC Employees Donate $1,500 to Community Relief Fund Food Pantry

Farmers RECC employees recently donated $1,500 to the Community Relief Fund Food Pantry, a local organization committed to helping those in need in our area.

The Community Relief Fund Food Pantry hosts their ‘To the Brim’ food drive each year to collect much -needed food to stock their food pantry. However, due to COVID, the organization wasn’t able to host a full food drive until this year.

To help their organization, Farmers RECC employees donated $1,500 to the organization, along with food items, to help stock their pantry in the coming months.

“We understand that food insecurity is the unfortunate reality for some in our community,” said Caralyne Pennington, Director of Member and Public Communications at Farmers RECC. “If we can help some of those folks with that problem, we feel it’s important to do what we can, especially during this difficult time.”

“Our employees live and work in the communities we serve,” said Pennington. “This is just another way for us to give back.”
