Farmers RECC, along with other Kentucky's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, are collecting much-needed items for Ronald McDonald Houses in Lexington and Louisville through our Wish List Drive during the months of June and July 2026.
Our annual Wish List Drive campaign supports both Ronald McDonald Houses, non-for-profit homes that enable families to be near their hospitalized children. In the past, Kentucky co-ops have delivered more than $18,000 worth of items each year.
"Ronald McDonald House Charities offer a wonderful service to families in our area and throughout Kentucky by providing housing for families when children are hospitalized," said Caralyne Pennington, Director of Member and Public Communications. "It is a tremendous comfort for families during a distressing time, and we are proud of our employees and our members for supporting this cause."
We encourage our members to bring donations to our office in Glasgow. Donations will be delivered to the Houses later this summer and will include snacks, personal care items and other products to help families feel at home while staying at the Ronald McDonald House facilities.
Ronald McDonald House employees have said they "are so grateful for Kentucky's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and their commitment to serving these children and their families when they need it the most. We are thankful for their gift of filling our shelves, our families' stomachs and all of our hearts."
