Each year, Farmers RECC sponsor the "Lighting Up Christmas" program for a school in our service territory. The program, coordinated by the Events Team at Farmers RECC, gather unwrapped toys and monetary donations for schools to use for students in need. 

The school chosen to received donations in the 2024 Christmas season was North Jackson Elementary in Barren County. 

Throughout the year, staff members at North Jackson work with the Family Resource Office to identify families that might have a need for essential items like shoes, shirts, socks, coats and food. 

During the 2025 'Lighting Up Christmas' program, Farmers RECC employees and members donated more than $1,300 to give North Jackson Elementary as well as several unwrapped toys, books and stuffed animals.
