June 27, 2023 - 2PM Update

Farmers RECC crews are making progress and have restored service to more than 10,000 meters since Sunday night.

We know it’s frustrating to not know exactly when the power will be back on. If you have reported a line down, tree on line, or other issue, we will continue to work on those until each one is resolved.

This phase of our restoration will be the most tedious process of storm recovery due to the nature of the member per outage ratio.

Members have messaged us, worried we have forgotten them. We promise this is not the case. We have a plan, and we are working that plan. All hands are on deck, and we will be here around the clock till all members are restored.

Additional crews from Wiregrass Electric Cooperative, Sand Mountain Electric Cooperative, Cumberland Electric Cooperative and Pennyrile Electric have arrived to aid in power restoration.

To be clear, Farmers RECC is NOT sending crews to assist any other utility in power restoration. Our first priority is restoring service to our members first before providing mutual aid to any other utility.

We continue to ask all members to avoid any contact with power lines. This includes tree or debris removal.  As a reminder, always assume power lines are energized and any contact with them is extremely dangerous.

Some members may be questioning why their neighbor has power and they don’t. This could be for a number of reasons. Your home may be served by a different substation, line or transformer. Your line could also be damaged at your service line or service connection point. It is also important to check your panel box to make sure you don’t have any tripped circuit breakers.

All of the employees at Farmers RECC have been and will continue to be committed to restoring power in the quickest and safest way possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we repair and restore our system.

Please report outages via our Mobile App, through our Member Center or by calling 270-651-2191. For current outage information, check the Farmers RECC’s Outage Viewer at www.farmersrecc.com and follow us on social media for updates.
