June 29, 2023 - 5PM Update

Farmers RECC crews are incredibly close to complete service restoration, and we expect to have power fully restored by late Friday night, barring any unforeseen complications.

We are keeping a close eye on more weather moving into our area tonight. However, if additional outages happen, we will continue to work as we always do; by evaluating our system, identifying causes of outages and restoring them methodically and safely.

We want to take a moment to express our sincere thanks for all those who have helped our efforts to restore service to our members.

  • Wiregrass Electric Cooperative from Hartford, Alabama
  • Sand Mountain Electric Cooperative from Rainsville, Alabama
  • Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation from Clarksville, Tennessee
  • Pennyrile Electric from Hopkinsville, Kentucky
  • Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation from Scottsville, Kentucky
  • Great Southwestern Construction
  • Townsend Tree Service
  • TreeKO
  • Clark Distributing of Oakland, Kentucky

Plus, so many caterers and folks that prepared food for our employees that we don’t want to name them all for fear of missing someone. A huge ‘Thank You’ to Food Lion of Glasgow who dropped off a huge donation of sandwiches and snacks for our employees today.

We continue to ask all members to avoid any contact with power lines. Always assume that any line is live. If additional outages occur today, please report outages via our Mobile App, Member Center or by calling 270-651-2191. For current outage information, check the Farmers RECC’s Outage Viewer at www.farmersrecc.com and follow us on social media for updates.

Our employees remain committed to our members and won’t stop until all of our members are restored.

This will be our last update today. We will release another update tomorrow morning by 9AM.
