June 29, 2023 - 9AM Update

Farmers RECC crews have restored service to 13,800 members since Sunday night with 205 members still without service.  We expect to have power fully restored by late Friday night, barring any unforeseen complications.

We are keeping a close eye on more weather moving into our area today and tonight. However, if additional outages happen, we will continue to work as we always do; by evaluating our system, identifying causes of outages and restoring them methodically and safely.

Even without additional severe weather, this stage of the restoration process slows due to the nature of the member per outage ratio, which sits at approximately three members-per-outage.

We want to take a moment to express our sincere thanks for all those who have helped our efforts to restore service to our members.

  • Wiregrass Electric Cooperative from Hartford, Alabama
  • Sand Mountain Electric Cooperative from Rainsville, Alabama
  • Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation from Clarksville, Tennessee
  • Pennyrile Electric from Hopkinsville, Kentucky
  • Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation from Scottsville, Kentucky
  • Great Southwestern Construction
  • Townsend Tree Service
  • TreeKO
  • Clark Distributing of Oakland, Kentucky

Plus, so many caterers and folks that prepared food for our employees that we don’t want to name them all for fear of missing someone.

We continue to ask all members to avoid any contact with power lines. Always assume that any line is live. If additional outages occur today, please report outages via our Mobile App, Member Center or by calling 270-651-2191. For current outage information, check the Farmers RECC’s Outage Viewer at www.farmersrecc.com and follow us on social media for updates.

Our employees remain committed to our members and won’t stop until all of our members are restored.

We will release another update this evening by 6PM.
