At Farmers RECC, we know our members count on us for the electricity that powers everyday life. We're working every day to deliver electricity you can trust for everything you do. We're also here for the businesses, industries, and institutions that make our communities strong. When you flip the switch, you expect power to be on - and we do too! Our reliability doesn't happen by accident. We dedicate time and resources to plan and execute strategies that keep the power flowing.
Our team works year-round to ensure that our system stays strong and reliant. We keep our electric service reliable through:
- Routine inspections and preventative maintenance: We take a proactive approach to the upkeep of the co-op's distribution system. This includes inspecting the co-op's 66,500 poles and replacing those that are near the end of their lifecycle.
- Tree Trimming: Routine right-of-way clearing and trimming prevents trees from contacting power lines and causing power outages.
- Smart Technologies: Real-time system monitoring and advanced outage detection helps speed repairs and power restoration in the event of an outage. This same technology empowers our members to stay informed and take control of your energy via the Farmers RECC mobile app or on our website, www.farmersrecc.com
- Strategic infrastructure upgrades: To support members' growing demands and evolving needs, we're building new infrastructure. Alongside our power supplier, East Kentucky Power Cooperative, we are building a new substation in hart County. This project will help maintain reliable electric service for Farmers RECC members in the Cub Run community by shortening the length of distribution feeders and properly distributing power to prevent overloads.
Every improvement made, every maintenance task performed, and every response delivered has on focus: providing the safe, dependable service you count on from Farmers RECC.
